This Privacy Policy explains how Azyro Marketplace, Inc. (“Azyro,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our marketplace for renting unused barber chairs. We keep what we collect to what we genuinely need to run the Platform.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — name, email, phone number, password, and whether you’re a Barber or an Owner.
- Listing & booking details — for Owners, chair listings, rates, availability, and house rules; for Barbers, the bookings you make and dates you reserve.
- Verification & insurance documents — where an Owner requires it, the liability-insurance certificate you upload, which we store with the relevant booking.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor; we receive limited details such as the last four digits of a card and the status of a charge, not full card numbers.
- Usage & device data — log data, IP address, browser and device type, and how you interact with the Platform, collected partly through cookies.
- Communications — messages you send us for support and any feedback you provide.
Importantly, Azyro does not collect or manage your clients’ information or your appointment book — those stay with you.
2. How we use your information
- to create and manage your account and process rental bookings;
- to process rental payments and Azyro service fees;
- to hold required insurance proof on file and confirm it to the Owner;
- to provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the Platform secure;
- to send service messages and, where you've agreed, product updates;
- to understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it, and to comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We share personal information only as needed:
- Between Owners and Barbers — to make a booking work, an Owner sees the booking Barber’s name, relevant booking details, and any required insurance proof; a Barber sees the Owner’s listing and contact details for the rental.
- Service providers — payment processing, hosting, analytics, and customer-support tools that process data on our behalf under contract.
- Legal & safety — where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Payments processor
Rental payments are processed by a third-party payment processor that handles your card details directly under its own security standards (including PCI-DSS). Azyro does not store full card numbers. The processor’s handling of your payment data is also governed by its own privacy policy.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand usage. For details and how to manage them, see our Cookie Policy.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Platform. After that, we retain certain records — such as booking, payment, and insurance-proof records — for the period required to meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations, then delete or anonymize them.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to respond promptly to any incident.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can update much of your information in your account settings, or contact us to exercise these rights. We won’t discriminate against you for doing so.
9. Children
Azyro is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
